Head Women's Softball Coach

The University of Valley Forge, an Assemblies of God college located in Phoenixville, PA invites application for the position of Head Softball Coach. The University of Valley Forge is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Provisional Member and a National Christian College Athletic Association Division II (NCCAA II) Member.


Duties will include managing all aspects of the softball program including, coaching, budgeting, spiritual leadership, and recruiting while focusing on the athletic department’s philosophy of developing athletes, spiritually, academically, and physically. The head coach position may combine with an administrative role.


  • Bachelor’s degree required/master’s degree preferred.
  • Two to Three years of coaching and recruiting experience at the college level.
  • Commitment to the development of the student-athlete.
  • Possess a passion for the game and the ability to coach and motivate.
  • Strong organizational and writing skills.
  • Interpersonal and good oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills needed.
  • Must be highly motivated and energetic.
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction to student-athletes.
  • A high degree of initiative and commitment to the mission of the institution, to equity, and to diversity.
  • An openly committed Christian, living a Spirit-filled (Acts 2:4, Ephesians 5:18); affirming a doctrinal position consistent with Assemblies of God beliefs.
