Editors Pick Award - Worship Leader Magazine Best of 2014University of Valley Forge offers a Masters of Music In Music Technology. The degree and its associated coursework cover music production, digital video, multimedia, distance learning, and music notation. The musical and technical skills needed by creative artists and communicators are emphasized. The curriculum includes current technologies and research. Much of the program can be completed through distance learning. Worship leaders, practicing performers, composers and educators alike will benefit from this training.

University of Valley Forge's facilities include a twenty-four track digital audio recording studio, SD and HD broadcast studios, a fifteen-station video editing lab, a fifteen-station audio production suite and a multimedia production room. Students will each be assigned a fully-equipped state-of-the-art workstation during the class.

TRANSFER TI:ME COURSES INTO THE DEGREE

Courses are evaluated at time of admission into the program. Requirements include submission of a transcript, minimum grades, equivalent credits and contact hours. 

DISTANCE LEARNING

Most courses are available through synchronous distance learning (except Sound Reinforcement, Digital Audio, FinalCutPro, and Podcasting). 

Distance learning students must be in class virtually during scheduled hours and must own the software and hardware used in class.

  • Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
  • The only "Masters of Music in Music Technology" program in Eastern Pennsylvania which is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
  • Approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to grant music education degrees leading to teacher certification.

  • Endorsed by the Commission on Christian Higher Education of the Assemblies of God.
