Master of Digital Media Communications

The Master of Digital Media Communications builds upon the strong foundation of undergraduate degrees available at the University of Valley Forge (UVF) in Digital Media Communications.

You can expect a rigorous learning environment where a multiplicity of hardware and software technologies will be employed to apply new media concepts and produce a variety of creative and strategic communications projects

Through the Master of Digital Media Communications program, you will:

  • Master of Digital Media Communications
    learn to research, analyze, evaluate and interpret current and trending topics, texts, and human interaction with digital media
  • advance your critical thinking skills
  • define your Christian worldview and functional leadership skills, both in theory and practice 
  • demonstrate leadership skills by leading teams in applied digital media settings
  • define and articulate a personal theology of service and leadership that incorporates a Christian worldview with an ethical approach
  • develop, produce, and publish advanced digital media products

The program is designed as a 33-credit hour, fifth year option for Digital Media Studies majors. A traditional two-year model is also possible. Each course is 3 credit hours except the Directed Project that is 6 credit hours.

Eligibility Requirements

Master of Digital Media Communications
To be eligible for acceptance into the program, you must:

  • Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree in a digital media related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Complete and submit the Graduate Student Online Application.
  • Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Send official transcripts of credits earned at all institutions of higher education.This program will accept up to six transfer credits of graduate education, depending on applicability.
  • Submit a letter of reference from your organization or a previous professor endorsing your participation in the program.
  • Complete an interview with a faculty member.
  • Provide a portfolio (digital) of your work in digital media.
