Sports Management - Coming Fall 2014!

Students in the Sports Management program will learn the business side of sports and explore the technologies used in the field, all taught from a perspective that equips servant leaders to impact the marketplace. Students will also have a variety of opportunities for hands-on learning through field experience, internships, and community service.

Sports management is more than being a talent recruiter or agent. The field is populated with professionals harnessing unique skills, who use them in various ways to support the industry’s success. Talent scouts and managers are the exciting public face of sports management. Behind the scenes, facilities managers, public relations executives, broadcasters, nutritionists and trainers are just a few of the sports industry’s movers and shakers.

Other management areas include in-office systems, marketing, events and facilities. Opportunities also exist in sports economics, finance and information. Sports management professionals can also be found in business or medicine.

A degree in Sports Management from the University of Valley Forge can help you explore high-level occupations within the industry, from athletic management, marketing and sales to public relations and more. You will be equipped with the expertise to lead and promote sports organizations, produce major sporting and entertainment events, stadium and facility management.
