$1,000 scholarship disbursed over four years for students who apply to UVF by March 15th. 

This scholarship is awarded to first time entering freshmen and transfer students who apply by March 15th, earn admission, and enroll for Fall 2024.

*This scholarship is stackable upon other UVF scholarships and grants and is renewable for four years upon maintaining eligibility for institutional aid.

$1,000 scholarship disbursed over four years for students who make their decision to attend UVF starting the 2024-Fall semester and deposit by February 29th. 

This scholarship is awarded to first time entering freshmen and transfer students who apply, earn admission, and enroll for Fall 2024.

$1,000 scholarship disbursed over four years for students who have visited campus for a Personalized Visit, Open House, or Breakaway as a senior in high school. Students must apply, earn admission, and enroll for Fall 2024.

Many organizations (in addition to UVF and the State and Federal governments) offer excellent opportunities for scholarships, grants, and other forms of financial assistance. Some free sources of information about scholarships are foundations, religious or community organizations, local businesses, civic groups, professional associations related to your field of interest, ethnicity-based organizations, and your employer or your parents’ employers.  Scholarship search tools that we recommend are Fastweb, U.S. Department of Labor’s Scholarship Search Tool, College Board’s Scholarship Search, and Scholly.

Incoming students with at least a 3.0 GPA and/or one of the following are invited to apply to participate in the Honors Program.*

Award amount ranges up to $5,000 per academic year and is renewable for up to 4 years with a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA and continued participation in the Honors Program.

To apply for the scholarship:

1. 1. 1. 1. Submit a minimum 500-word essay to your Admissions counselor using the prompt: “A trademark of students in UVF’s Collegium Honorum is intellectual curiosity and a desire to integrate faith and learning. Describe how you have demonstrated intellectual curiosity in the past and how you expect to manifest that intellectual curiosity as a student at UVF. Consider ways in which you would integrate faith and learning within the rigor of the Collegium Honorum.”
         2. Attend an interview day at UVF (generally in December and March). Check with your Admissions counselor for information about how to register for the interview day!

*Students placed in remedial classes are not eligible to participate in the Honors Program.

The Federal SEOG Grant is a need-based grant provided by the Department of Education offered to students who demonstrate significant financial need. You are automatically reviewed for the SEOG award when your aid application (FAFSA) is being evaluated.

To be eligible for the SEOG Grant, you must have significant financial need as determined by your expected family contribution and be an undergraduate student who is receiving a Pell Grant. The amount of SEOG funding UVF receives from the Department of Education is subject to change year-to-year.

Some students from outside of Pennsylvania may receive funds from their state grant programs that can be used at University of Valley Forge. Currently, students living in Delaware, Massachusetts, Ohio, Vermont, and West Virginia may use their state grants at University of Valley Forge. To apply for a state scholarship, contact your state financial aid agency or call the federal education information center at 1.800.433.3243 to get the telephone number and address of your state agency, for program requirements and application procedures. When you receive an eligibility notice from your state program, you should submit it to the Financial Services Office at UVF.

PHEAA offers need-based grant funding to Pennsylvania residents who are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree at a higher education institution within the state. Eligibility is based upon the financial information submitted on their FAFSA, their enrollment, and campus location.

Only students who are enrolled at least half-time (6 credits a term) and meet the Pennsylvania residency requirements will be considered by PHEAA for a grant. UVF will receive an estimated grant amount for all students who meet the initial eligibility requirements. Final determinations of grant amounts are made by UVF in coordination with PHEAA’s guidelines once the Pennsylvania state budget has been finalized.

Summer Semester is considered to be an extra term by PHEAA and therefore, undergraduate students who take classes during summer may be eligible for an additional Summer PHEAA Grant. This additional grant is based upon a separate application that must be filed with PHEAA.

The Federal Pell Grant is a need-based grant available to students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. Eligibility is based upon your expected family contribution and enrollment status. You are automatically reviewed for the Pell Grant once UVF receives your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
