University Logo

University of Valley Forge

New Name, Same Mission.

With university status comes a new visual brand. The Office of Marketing set out to design a symbol that would capture its new identity. Dozens of design concepts created by internal designers were evaluated, modified, and tweaked. Members of the university and external communities provided feedback through focus groups to help guide the institution through the design phase. After a five month process, one design stood out, which is the one we have now adopted as the new University of Valley Forge logo.

The logo consists of a hexagon icon where each corner represents one of the six core values of the institution. The hexagon contains a cupola that serves as a visual bell fry crowning the structure in a prominent position of strength and guidance. On top of the cupola, a towering spire symbolizes a solid academic foundation and it's commitment to Christ-centered higher education.

The logo stands with the word mark University of Valley Forge. The word University uses the typeface Trajan Pro, denoting its rich historical background and legacy, as well as representing its proximity to Valley Forge National Historical Park. The words Valley Forge on the word mark uses the deep strong typeface Gotham Black, denoting a visual representation of academic strength, guidance, progress, global outreach, and forward-looking approach to service and leadership.

The University of Valley Forge logo is designed to be a strong visual brand that helps the institution express its mission, goals and distinctive attributes across all of its audiences. This distinctive logo was designed to represent the University of Valley Forge now and for decades to come.
