Digital Media Communications

Digital Media Communications

University of Valley Forge is proud to offer this unique major--training students to become skilled and creative media professionals, in a world that is constantly changing.

The Digital Media Communications major covers graphic design, video production, photography, web design, and audio production through four distinct majors: Digital Media Studies, Digital Media Video, Digital Media Photography, and Digital Media Recording Arts.

Digital Media Classroom
This program exists to prepare you with specialized skills in Digital Media that will allow you to be a creative, technologically skilled developer and manager in the digital world. You will learn to think creatively, strategically, and critically when communicating information, producing and distributing your media in both traditional and new media forms. The capstone of the program is an internship that will place you in a production environment to help you understand the relationship of your academic preparation to your career aspirations.

Internships can take place at leading production houses in the region, including award winning production companies, news stations, or churches. You can even do your internship with national organizations or even internationally! Students have completed internships all across the country, and as far away as Africa and Spain.

You can also put your skills to practical use and study a semester at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center. LAFSC trains students to work in the film industry with "professional skill and Christian integrity." There, you earn 16 credit hours in both classroom and internship settings.
