MUSIC TECHNOLOGY SUMMER GRADUATE COURSES - 2016

   

Earn a Master's Degree in Three Summers!

Tracks available in Production, Composition and Education.

The University of Valley Forge (UVF) offers courses in notation, music production, digital audio, digital video and multimedia. Educators and worship leaders alike will benefit from this training. All courses except applied instruction carry three graduate credits. 

UVF’s facilities include a twenty-four track digital audio recording studio, SD and HD broadcast studios, a fifteen-station video editing lab, a fifteen-station audio production suite and a multimedia production room. On-campus students will each be assigned a fully-equipped state-of-the-art workstation during the class.

Transfer TI:ME courses into the degree.

Courses are evaluated at time of admission into the program. Requirements include submission of a transcript, minimum grades, equivalent credits and contact hours.

Earn Official AVID and TI:ME Certification

AVID Certification coursework: MTN 598
Student must pass exam for certification.
TI:ME certification: All MED and MTN courses.

Distance Learning

Most courses are available through distance learning (see legend). In most cases, distance learning students must be in class virtually during scheduled hours and must own the software and hardware used in class. Contact frichmond@valleyforge.edu for details.




APPLY & REGISTER ONLINE FOR COURSES
Courses are available for professional enrichment students or for degree candidates. To register see below or call 610.917.3954. Professional enrichment students must complete an application and registration. Those wishing to apply credit toward the University of Valley Forge MM degree should schedule an audition, interview, and entrance exam.


Professional Enrichment Application




The Professional Enrichment Program is a non-degree program designed for individuals who wish to further their educational studies with graduate level course work, without pursuing full admission into the graduate program. Students are not eligible to apply for government financial aid.



Full Master Degree Program Application




The Master's Program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue a master’s degree. Full-time students are eligible to apply for government financial aid.




Tuition Costs:

All 3 credit courses - $960 each including all fees unless otherwise marked.

Applied Music courses are $670 per credit including all fees.

Steps to Register for Summer Courses:

(1) Complete an application and submit electronically. Students who are not pursuing a degree must complete the professional enrichment application (see link to left). Those wishing to earn a Masters of Music in Music Technology must complete a graduate application (see link to left).
(2) Call Donna Headlee, our enrollment representative at 610.917.3954 during business hours of 8 am - 4:30 pm to select your classes
(3) You will be mailed login instructions (username and password) which will allow you to access your UVF email, student records, library and Information Technology resources.
(4) To complete your payment:
- Go to https://my.valleyforge.edu and log in with your UVF username and password.
- Click on the “Student Accounts” tab
- Click on “Make a payment” and follow instructions on the screen.
- Input your total based on your course(s) and credit cost. Press “Submit” and “Continue”.

For students seeking to pursue graduate education, most graduate programs require a minimum GPA of 3.0 for entrance.
