HEAD WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL COACH WITH ADMINISTRATIVE ROLE

The University of Valley Forge seeks a Head Women’s Volleyball coach with an Administrative Role. This position reports to the Director of Athletics. This is a full-time, benefited position.

Role

Duties include managing all aspects of the women’s volleyball program. while supporting the Department of Athletics’ mission of training student athletes to Christ-centered leaders through the platform of athletics. This position also provides administrative support to Academic Department Chairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • In game coaching
  • Practice preparations for games
  • Game scheduling in conjunction with the Director of Athletics or designee
  • Transportation to and from games with driving responsibilities
  • Leadership training and Christian culture development and management
  • Recruiting –Work within the enrollment management system (EMP) to keep up to date information regarding potential student athletes
  • Assist the Director in preparing the budget for the volleyball program

Academic Affairs Administrative Assistant Role

A professional administrator who will provide high quality administrative, secretarial, and support activities under the direction of the Academic Department Chairs

Essential Administrative Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service to Faculty and students in the Arts and Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, and Business Departments
  • Work as part of a team providing a comprehensive, customer-focused service to students, staff, and external stakeholders with a positive, professional approach, good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work using you own initiative
  • Must be flexible as the demands of the role fluctuate with the academic year
  • A solution orientated approach to work and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

  • Ability to provide spiritual leadership and help others grow spiritually

Qualifications and Abilities

  • Demonstrate commitment to the holistic development of the student athlete and possess a passion for working with college-aged students
  • Passion for the sport that inspires motivation for professional growth as a coach
  • Proven ability to coach the sport and motivate student athletes to develop athletically

Skills and Knowledge

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate relationships
  • Proficient in office-based computer programs
  • Highly organized, motivated, and energetic
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a high degree of initiative and commitment to the mission of the University to equity and diversity

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required/master’s degree preferred
  • Two to three years of coaching and recruiting experience at the college level
