University of Valley Forge Alumni Directory

Reconnect with your friends and classmates with the upcoming University of Valley Forge (UVF) alumni directory. This valuable resource — available this summer — will include contact, academic and business information about UVF graduates.


Below is a list of frequently asked questions that you may find helpful as you think about your inclusion in the UVF alumni directory.

Who is Harris Connect and why is UVF using them?
Harris Connect provides organizations with plans and solutions to strengthen the bonds between the organization and its constituents. Harris Connect's solutions range from fundraising to data research to directories. We’ve partnered with Harris Connect to produce our alumni directory. Harris Connect has been an industry leader for nearly 50 years and we are confident that this publication will meet the needs of our constituents. UVF has entrusted Harris Connect with this alumni directory task due to their expertise, professionalism and concern for your privacy.

When can I expect to hear from Harris Connect?
Monday through Friday, Harris Connect makes calls from 8 am – 9 pm, in all time zones. They may try to contact you at work during the day or in the evening. If you are contacted at a time that is inconvenient for you, simply let the representative know. S/he will give you the Harris Connect toll free number or will arrange to call you later.

What kind of information will they ask me to provide?
To make sure our directory is as up-to-date as possible, Harris Connect will begin to contact alumni to first verify the information we currently have on file at the university and make sure it is accurate and complete.

They will verify your biographical listings such as contact information, academic information, professional and personal information, career overview and family highlights. This includes residential information, email address, job title and business name. They will also include city and state of residence.

If my name is listed in the directory, am I obligated to purchase a copy?
While purchase is optional, proceeds will benefit the alumni association and services we offer to our alumni. We hope that you will be able to participate in this project and are confident that you will enjoy this useful publication.

What if I don't want my name listed in the directory? What if I don't want certain pieces of my personal information listed?
Even if you choose to be excluded from the directory, Harris Connect can still update your information for our university records. If you prefer not to be listed in the directory or want to exclude portions of your information from being published, you must inform Harris Connect of your wishes once they contact you. Otherwise, your name, class year and address will be published.

Why did Harris Connect call me even after I completed my online questionnaire?
We’ve asked Harris Connect to contact all alumni; primarily to make absolutely sure that the data the university has is current. You would be surprised how many people change jobs or move between the time that they complete the online questionnaire and the time the directory is ready to print. Also, we want to be sure that all information is correct so that our alumni directory is accurate and useful.

What happens if I don't order a directory now, but change my mind later?
We have arranged to print as many directories as are ordered before we go to press. If you change your mind prior to publication, you can call the dedicated toll free number 800.546.4809 to secure your copy. Please be aware that only advanced orders will be honored. You will not be able to purchase a directory after it has been printed.

What forms of payment will be accepted for the purchase of a directory?
The directory may be paid for by major credit card or check. Payment(s) may be made by credit card at the time of order or by check upon receipt of the invoice(s). We also offer installment payment plans, allowing you to pay a portion now and the rest later. 

If I place an order using a credit or debit card, how will the charge appear on my statement?
On most major credit card statements, “HC” will appear with the name of the institution (e.g., "HC University of Valley Forge"). On American Express statements, “Harris Connect” will appear with the name of the institution (e.g., "Harris Connect University of Valley Forge). 

What if I decide I want to cancel the order I have placed?
Orders for the directory may be canceled by simply writing the word "Cancel" on the invoice and returning it to Harris Connect or by calling the Harris Connect Customer Service Department at 1.800.877.6554. Be sure to provide the account number when calling.

About the magazine program:
Harris Connect also provides a magazine program (through their Synapse partner) where Valley Forge alumni can purchase select magazines at a discount of 40–60 percent. This is an optional offer. It is provided to you as a convenience. The university does not receive any commissions or proceeds from the magazine program.
