In correspondence dated Friday, October 10, 2008, the English Language Institute (ELI) was certified by SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Program), the federal government's oversight agency in charge of academic programs for non-resident students. ELI is Valley Forge Christian College's newest program designed to help non-resident students develop their English skills for post secondary study in the United States.

Students participating in ELI are integrated into American culture through dorm life and extracurricular activities offered to all VFCC students. Additionally, ELI students are enrolled in basic English language classes and Bible courses. The one year program begins in September. After earning an ELI certificate, students return to their homeland, enroll in a four year degree at VFCC, or transfer to a college or university of their choice. Currently, there are three students enrolled in the ELI program with considerable growth expected in the years ahead.
