VFCC welcomed alumni and their families back to campus beginning Tuesday, October 18 with featured guest artists Dave, Duane and Neil, formerly known as the Couriers. Wednesday featured the 2011 Distinguished Young Alumni Award recipient, Rev. Brigham Lee '06, as chapel speaker.

On Thursday, Distinguished Alumni Service Award Recipient, Rev. Harry F. Pressley '81, visited VFCC as the featured chapel speaker. Rev. Pressley is the lead pastor of Calvary Chapel Bellmawr in New Jersey and the founder of "The Shepherd's Heart," a radio program that airs weekdays at 4 p.m. on Hope FM 90.5. The program reaches listeners in Baltimore, Ohio, and as far north as New York and Maine. Thursday also welcomed the arrival of the class of 1961 to celebrate their 50th Anniversary Class Reunion.

Friday, alumni from across the generations enjoyed a variety of activities beginning with a continental breakfast and a thought-provoking and relevant chapel message delivered by this year's chapel speaker, Court Durkalski '91. Durkalski is also a recipient of the 2011 Distinguished Alumni Service Award. He is the CEO of Servant of Truline Industries, Inc., a 60 person, $10 million/year precision machine shop in Chesterland, Ohio and functions as the steward of this God-owned company. Truline's vision is to present the Gospel message and Christ-like character for the purpose of salvation and discipleship. Durkalski is the author of the best-selling book "Winning at Work."

Class reunion luncheons for the various anniversary classes of 1961, '66, '71, '76, '81, '86, '91, '96 and 2001 were held along with a coffee hour for all alumni. This year, children under age 12 enjoyed the "KidZone" filled with carnival games, candy, face painting and a bounce house.

Alumni athletes took advantage of an opportunity to suit up against the women's volleyball team and the men's soccer team for an afternoon of fun and fellowship on the court and on the field.

Concluding the weekend's events were the traditional Alumni vs. Varsity Homecoming basketball game and crowning of this year's Homecoming King and Queen, William Gwynn and Marissa Schade.
