ATHLETICSThe 2013-2014 season has officially come to a close for the men’s basketball team at Valley Forge Christian College (VFCC). With the end of the season, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) East Region has officially announced its regional teams and three Patriots have found their place on the roster.

Senior Lance Harris (team captain) and junior Kevin Mack were named to the First Team All Region, while junior Jean LeBlanc was named to the Second Team All Region. Harris was not just recognized regionally, but nationally as well. This was a fantastic season for the senior captain, as he ranked 21st nationally in points per game and 13th nationally in assists per game. He also ranked second in the region in the category of steals per game and third in rebounds; Harris led the Patriots in six out of eight statistical categories.
Kevin Mack was only able to play during the second semester, but made a significant impact on the team and the league nonetheless. With only a few months of play this season, Mack still ranked seventh nationally and first regionally in steals per game. Mack also ranked fourth in the region in points per game, sixth in assists per game and seventh in rebounds.
Jean LeBlanc rounded out the Patriot recognitions. LeBlanc ranked 24th in the nation for three-point shooting percentage, scoring 41 percent from beyond the arch over the course of the season. LeBlanc also ranked third in the region in steals, eighth in points per game and ninth in free-throw percentage (shooting more than 70 percent from the charity stripe).
The VFCC community extends congratulations to Harris, Mack and LeBlanc for their noteworthy accomplishments this season.
