UVF Athletics Announces New Sports Information Director

The University of Valley Forge (UVF) is excited to introduce newly hired staff member, Craig Lahr ‘09. Lahr has recently taken on the full-time position of sports information director. In addition to this role, he will also serve as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Lahr is no stranger to the athletic department at UVF. He had previously served UVF as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach during the 2011-2012 season as well as student-assistant for the women’s volleyball team in 2007. During his time attending UVF, Lahr excelled as an athlete, playing on the men’s basketball team in his junior and senior years. While serving as team captain during his senior year, Lahr won the “Best Intangible Athlete” ESPY award. In both seasons, he was titled a NCCAA Scholar-Athlete.
Graduating in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Lahr later went on to serve for four years as the Youth Pastor for Trinity EC Church in Boyertown, Pa. Lahr remarked, “I’m excited to use the gifts God has given me to inspire student-athletes in developing leadership skills and discovering their God-given gifts and purposes.” As the sports information director, Lahr will be in charge of communicating sports news through social media, reporting game statistics, writing articles and overseeing the official UVF athletic website.
