The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership
President Don Meyer, Ph.D., has published his first leadership book, “The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership." The leadership book is a valuable resource for those seeking to develop as leaders in a professional setting.

Meyer has been a communicator and leader in ministry, organizational leadership and institutional higher education for more than 45 years. In his many leadership positions and collective experiences, Meyer has gained knowledge applicable to new and accomplished leaders. Over the years, Meyer has collected ideas on what he has learned as a leader.

During his own leadership journey here at UVF, the institution has grown in student enrollment, academic curriculum and student opportunities. Meyer was also instrumental in leading the name change process from Valley Forge Christian College to the University of Valley Forge. Earlier this year, The Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce named Meyer its Outstanding Citizen of the Year for his extraordinary contribution to the community.
In “The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership,” Meyer focuses on the importance of personal growth. “Whether someone is just starting out on their leadership path or they have been working at it for years, there is always room for improvement. That can be done by asking and answering transformative leadership questions,” Meyer said. Throughout the book, he presents 10 key transformative questions leaders should often ask themselves to challenge current thinking and develop new ideas.
“The Distinguishing Mark of Leadership” is available in print and digital formats from Amazon, and other online retailers. Visit for a free excerpt and ordering details.
