On March 31, the University of Valley Forge was presented with a generous donation of $400,000 by university alum and longtime friend, Rev. Robert Glass '57 and his wife Rosalin. The donation will go toward the UVF gymnasium renovations. When the church building where Glass pastored was sold, he knew that the proceeds of the sale should be used to minister to others. With Glass' encouragement, the church board decided to donate much of that money to his alma mater and its athletic program. Glass has been a strong supporter of UVF athletics over the years and frequently played in the traditional Alumni v. Patriots basketball game during Homecoming. The generous donation will benefit future student-athletes as well as the campus and surrounding community.

Glass also surprised President Don Meyer with a second check of $2,250 for UVF's Anvil Student Center expansion project. Glass explained how he always felt welcomed at the university and wanted to continue to bless the students.
