The Peppermint Prayer

The Peppermint Prayer

A little while ago, I wrote an article called “Pumpkin Spice Up Your Prayer Life.” This punny fall-themed article was centered around making sure we don’t let our prayer lives grow stale. It’s almost Christmas now – a time to reflect on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth; born of a virgin in Bethlehem in Judea, foretold by the prophets to fulfill the law of Moses. He – the ultimate present to a fallen humanity – is the real reason to celebrate this gift-crazed season.

I’m here today to help you keep your ongoing conversation with your Savior minty fresh with a few talking points for when you have reached a loss for words (not in the “awe-struck” way or the “I’m so broken that I just can’t” way – more like the “well, this is awkward” way).

Please God, help me pass my classes
Eternal perspective

R

M

Obviously, this adorable acrostic is not even close to the comprehensive list of topics you are able to bring before your infinite God. This is merely the friendly, candy cane-colored diving board to get you polar plunging into the ocean of conversation.

Lord,
May we never grow tired of the ongoing conversation you so lovingly have with us. Help us to fall deeper in love with you each day
In Jesus’ name,
AMEN
